American Sign Language interpreters may be available if requested at least 30 days before the program begins. Then, after the schedule of classes is posted online in early July, review it by July 17 and submit the day, date, time, title, and location of each class you plan to attend. Requests may be emailed to uacfrontdesk@byu.edu or sent to the University Accessibility Center, 2170 WSC, BYU, Provo UT 84602. ASL interpreting is planned for the Education Week Devotional at the Marriott Center. Please enter through Portal H and sit in Section 8, Row 3.
Assistive Listening Devices: The Marriott Center has a limited number of assistive listening devices for use in their facility (enter Portal G; the sound booth is on the left). You will be required to leave a picture ID such as a driver’s license when checking out the device. To obtain assistive listening devices for use in other campus locations, please contact the University Accessibility Center in 2170 Wilkinson Student Center (WSC) or call 801-422-2767.

Marriott Center wheelchair seating is available at Portals G, J, and K on the concourse level. Limited wheelchair seating on the main floor is available for persons accompanied by one companion who can push the chair up a steep ramp in the event of an emergency. Depending on available space, companions may be seated either in the wheelchair area or in close proximity to it.
Due to limited wheelchair seating in the Marriott Center and other conference venues, wheelchair areas are reserved only for those participants who use wheelchairs. Participants who have other mobility or health concerns should arrive early to secure a seat, as all seating is on a first-come basis.
Note: Restroom facilities at the Marriott Center are located on the concourse level.
One wheelchair-accessible van is available to transport patrons in wheelchairs between on-campus locations. The van can accommodate one wheelchair and a companion. The telephone number for the wheelchair-accessible van driver is 801-674-5405.
Participants with a state-issued disability placard may park in the lots designated as “Disability Parking” (see map in the class schedule booklet or view the online version). They may also park in any of the disability parking spaces on campus (indicated by blue signs with wheelchairs), unless a sign designates parking for a particular person. Please note that participants must not park in spaces designated for special use (e.g., emergency vehicles, university officials, or service vehicles) or for more than the posted time in timed spaces or lots.
